Have you got the NBN yet? Not bloody likely!

The PM hasn't got it, NBN headquarters don't have it - and neither do we in the Perth CBD!

The NBN, that is - or the very expensive, much-debated, heavily tweaked National Broadband Network - which was announced 10 years ago but is still not connected to two-thirds of Aussie homes.

I think it's fair to say, the NBN rollout has been an absolute debacle and waste of taxpayer dollars.

How else could we have fallen from 30th to 60th on global rankings of internet speeds?

Of the few who do have it, many are suffering lacklustre speeds or ongoing faults with the service. In fact, complaints to the Ombudsman are through the roof.

For an insightful roundup of the debacle that is the NBN, watch this terrific video from the ABC's The Weekly, which perfectly explains why host Charlie Pickering does not have a good feeling about the NBN.
