1. Two seagulls vs one hawk
Check out this war between predator and prey, with one seagull desperately trying to rescue another from the beak of a mighty hawk.
2. Amphioctopus Marginatus
Amphioctopus marginatus, also known as the coconut octopus and veined octopus, is a medium-sized cephalopod belonging to the genus Amphioctopus. It is found in tropical waters of the western Pacific Ocean. It commonly preys upon shrimp, crabs and clams, displaying unusual behavior including bipedal walking and tool use.
The colours on this male mandarin duck are absolutely exquisite. By comparison, the female ducks are quite dull in colour.
4. Baby Duckbill Platypodes
Back in 1977, naturalist John Shaw received a dead one of these as a specimen and he thought that it was not genuine, with many others believing the animal was nothing more than a hoax.
The marine iguana (Amblyrhynchus cristatus), also known as the Galápagos marine iguana, is a species only on the Galápagos Islands (Ecuador). It has the ability, unique among modern lizards, to forage in the sea, making it a marine reptile.
