Two of the world's most famous musicians were born on this day in history.

In today's nostalgic trip down memory lane we focus on birthdays, with two of the greatest musicians of all time born on this day, January 8.

  • Elvis Presley (1935-1977)
  • David Bowie (1947-2016)
  • The King of Rock and Roll was born in Mississippi in 1935. He went on to become the biggest cultural icon of the 20th century.

    Meanwhile, David Bowie, was born as David Robert Jones in London on this day in 1947.

    He was one of music's most beloved figures until he died of cancer in 2016, causing emtional shockwaves around the world.
