With record-breaking temperatures crippling the east coast of Australia, we want to hear your heatwave hacks.

Sydney is sweltering right now ... breaking numerous summer temperature records and being named the hottest place on earth on Sunday, thanks to a mind-melting 47.3C maximum.

Elite sporting stars withered and some questioned the humanity in forcing international cricket and tennis stars to play on in such conditions

And since this is still just the start of summer, it seemed like a good time to encourage you all to share your personal tips and tricks for surviving a summer heatwave.

How do you keep yourself, loved ones and pets cool, without blowing your power bills through the roof and adding to Australia's climate change woes?

I'm sure the rest of the Ys community is dying to know. So please get cracking and either leave your comments below, or submit a post via your unique member dashboard.

And above all, stay cool.
