Legendary but tragic rock star Janis Joplin born in 1943. Janis Lyn Joplin, the American singer/songwriter from the Woodstock era, was one of the biggest female voices of her era. After releasing three albums, she died of a heroin overdose at the age of 27.

Dolly Parton born in 1947. Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, actress, author, businesswoman, and philanthropist, known primarily for her work in country music.
