Did you know it's 10 years today since Perth actor Heath Ledger died in the US? Sad, but true.

From the tragic death of a Perth actor who went on to Hollywood greatness, to sporting feats and space exploration, this day in history almost has it all. 

Ledger, born in Perth, Western Australia is mostly known for his award winning role as The Joker in The Dark Night. Ledger also had well renowned roles in films such as Brokeback Mountain and 10 Things I Hate About You. Ledger's family went on to accept his Oscar award for The Dark Night in 2009.
